Coral Homes is one of Australia’s largest home builders, introduced ‘real time’ pricing and personalised quoting to fast-track homes from concept to completion. While ‘real time’ market pricing is commonplace in industries like eCommerce, this is new to the Australian building industry.
In March, as thousands of Aussies scrambled together last-minute HomeBuilder applications before the mid-April deadline, Coral Homes introduced an online service that provides Australians, who are interested in building their own home, with instant, customised quotations on hundreds of home designs, inclusions and current offers with a click of a button.
According to Coral Homes CEO Steve Foley: “The local property sector has long relied on legacy approaches to set prices. With more Australians doing their property research online than ever before, we saw an opportunity to partner with the best technology experts in the country to generate personalised price packages for customers in a matter of minutes – not only accelerating the first stages of the construction process but putting less pressure on our resources as we keep up with buyer demand.”
In June 2021, Coral Homes organic website traffic increased by 44% in under three months, and its sales leads increased by over 58% and enquiries increased by 55% year-on-year*. As of 30th June, the prolific home builder built 1,372 new homes nationally year-on-year. Due to COVID-19, the company’s audience also shifted from predominantly second-home buyers to a cross section of first, second and third home buyers, retirees, and down-sizers.
To appeal to today’s home buyer, Coral Homes also introduced virtual tours of display homes and a new booking system where customers can make appointments to view a showroom or speak with a sales consultant in-person or virtually before making a deposit – another key competitive advantage in the market.
