How A Business Coach Has Grown Our Web Design Business

POST Sectors

Going back around 4 years ago, I wasn’t in a great place in my business. I was stressed, tired, anxious, overworked, and just generally had fallen out of love with my business.

I needed some help.

If I hadn’t appointed a coach, I’d probably be in a very different place.

I don’t know whether I’d still be doing what I’m doing. Maybe I would’ve gone off to chase some other bright shiny object.

But I’m very glad that I continued down this path and I feel that I’m still just scratching the surface and there’s plenty more work and fun to be had in the business.

I have been with my business coach for over four years now, and have seen a dramatic shift in my business.

Probably the biggest thing that I’ve taken away from the process is confidence. The confidence to grow and scale my business off the back of a really clear strategy in terms of what success actually looks like.

The best thing that I have done is I’ve replaced my “time” with “team”.

My name is Jon Hollenberg and I own Five By Five.

We specialise in building great-looking, high-performing websites that bring in more leads and inquiries to our clients.

Working with Nick, David, and the coaches at Abundance Global, the number one thing that I get from this experience is accountability. Everyone in life needs checks and balances. And these are the guys that keep me accountable and honest and make sure I’m out there getting stuff done in my business and in the world.

I’ve have doubled my business, year on year, for the last four years. We’ve gone from three staff up to twenty-plus staff. I’m largely now off the tools now and almost at a point where I have a business that pretty much runs itself. So, I’m in a much better place and we’re on a great trajectory to even take this thing further which is really exciting.

Everyone needs a coach or a mentor in their life. Whether it’s physically, emotionally, spiritually, or in business. These are the people that are going to observe you; are going to steer you in the right direction; and really empower you to be the best version of yourself.

Big part of my existence is joy and that is, spending time with my wife and my kids; outside, away from my computer, having fun, out on holidays, camping, or away in a caravan.

By making these shifts and these changes in my business ultimately what I’ve been able to do is have more energy. I’m fresh, I’m more creative, I’ve got more ideas, and I bring more passion and impact to my team in the business.
