Therefore, the way we structure our WordPress Care Packages has been refined and updated

We’ve been heads-down working on ensuring our WordPress Care Packages suit the new digital landscape and our clients needs over the last few months — and we’re excited to announce what’s changing:
  1. A block of time to use on web support tasks however you like each month
  2. Choose a new package that suits your support time requirements
  3. When our new packages come into effect – it’s business as usual until then

1. Change is on the horizon

To continue to best service our clients, our packages are changing from unlimited small changes to blocks of time that you can use however you like! 🙏

A large task like setting up a brand new, custom designed landing page no longer needs to be quoted separately on top of your monthly care package fee. 

You can now choose to be on a hosting only package or choose a package that features 1, 4 or 10 hours of web support tasks from us!

This means you no longer are confined to requesting small 20-30 minute jobs from our team, we can spend 4 hours on a task for you if that’s how you would like to spend your monthly allocated time.

We love making things as efficient as possible and that’s why we have designed a new request process that gets all the information needed upfront. 

You won’t have to worry about going back and forth with our team to confirm update requests or tasks and ticking up the minutes of your allocated time.

We see this as a big win as it gives you so much more freedom and bang for your buck!

Another bonus is there is now a clear expectation of exactly what you’re getting for your monthly package amount. 

You will know exactly how many hours you have to spend every month and can plan your website updates according to that. No more splitting tasks up into a million pieces to make them fit into our old 30 minute slots! 

2. Let’s talk investment

We haven’t evolved our packages in over three years and therefore our clients have been lucky enough to not have had a price increase either. However, we have realised we had to better align ourselves with industry pricing for what we offer. 

So as server prices, software prices and other platforms prices increase, we obviously need to make sure that we’re able to cover our costs and keep supporting you in the best way possible.

The new packages come into effect on February 1st 2021 and you will be charged at your new package price whenever your payment is usually due in February.

3. Want a piece of the action?

So what do you have to do now? The simple answer is… nothing!

As of the 1st of February 2021 you will automatically be rolled over to the new structure, no action required.

We obviously have all of the data in terms of how much time we work on your account every month. We will look at the current plan you are on and line it up with the appropriate plan in our new structure that is best suited to your needs. 

If that means a higher or even lower package, then one of our team will reach out to discuss this with you. You can trust us to take care of you!

If you would like to discuss your options then simply book in to chat to us and we can help you work out which option is most relevant to you.

Now we can better service all of our clients, depending on the exact amount of support they need.

Now more than ever, it’s crucial to make sure that your hosting is the most premium hosting that you can get and that everything is safe and secure. You must make sure your site doesn’t have any downtime.

Daily Backups

We also do daily backups of your site. There was an instance last week where one of our client’s accidentally deleted their homepage of their website and couldn’t recover it. 

We swept in and reverted their site back to the previous day’s version and luckily were able to save the day! 

Most hosting environments don’t have this ability so that’s why it is crucial to make sure you are getting the most out of your money.

Scheduled Monthly Plugin & WordPress Core Updates

We look after all your plugin and WordPress core updates for you. Think of it like doing an intense update on your phone to fix bugs and apply updates!

This is scheduled and executed on a monthly basis by an expert member of our Support Team who physically logs into your site and makes sure there are no conflicts. 

Your site has to keep up with you and the epic increase of online traffic we have seen this year. We make sure everything is ship-shape.

Monthly Google Analytics Website Reporting

Using your Analytics Code we send you a monthly report with your key website statistics so you can see exactly how your website is performing.

Grab a cuppa and sit down to find out about the number of visitors to your site, bounce rate, most popular pages, where your traffic is from and more!

In order for us to best service all our clients and be able to provide the level of support that is expected, unfortunately the unlimited model is not something we are able to offer any more. 

We would love to still continue to support you and look forward to you reaping the rewards and value from the new hourly model of our care packages.

5. FAQs

In order for us to best service all our clients and be able to provide the level of support that is expected, unfortunately the unlimited model is not something we are able to offer any more. 

We would obviously love to have you on the new structure, but we realise if that it may not serve your business.  If you don’t feel our new packages are a good fit for your website needs, please feel free to find an alternative provider and let us know once you’ve moved to their care. Only then will we cancel your account with us to avoid any disruption to your website. 

No action is required on your part if you are happy with being moved over to one of our more streamlined Care Packages.

There’s no change that you physically need to do any of your current packages, they will automatically transition into the new structure. 

There’s a relevant plan for everyone based on what you currently have. Just be aware there is going to be a pricing adjustment based on what package you move to.

As of the 1st of February 2021 you will automatically be rolled over to the new structure, no action required. This is when the new streamlined packages come into effect and you will no longer have ‘unlimited tasks’.

You will be charged at your new package price whenever your payment is usually due in February. Easy peasy! 

If you are happy to continue with us, your new package will automatically take over, no action required!

If you are looking to discontinue your hosting and support with us, we will need two weeks notice so that you can move your site to your chosen hosting and support provider. Please let us know by Friday 15th January 2021 to make this happen.

Of course! Rest assured you can continue using your WCP as normal until the 1st of February 2021.

No problem. We can quote for a one-off body of work, on a time and materials basis, to get your task completed.

Like most subscription services, hourly allocations expire at the end of each month.

We’ll keep an eye on your usage each month to ensure that you are on the right package for you needs.

Did someone say… bundle deal? 

We really appreciate your trust in us to look after multiple websites for you and have bundle deals for accounts with 2 or more websites under our care.

We’ll be in touch before the new packages kick in to discuss your options. 

Great question! But a little hard to answer as every task can vary depending on the brief submitted. 

MOST website updates that get submitted through to our team take no more than 30 mins to complete… think changing images, swapping out content, adding a blog post or new team member profile. 

We have listed the common updates that take on average 30 mins or less to address here to give you an idea. 

We’ll also let you know how long a task will take once received so you can plan out how to use your hours throughout the month. 

If you do reach your monthly allocation, we’ll let you know right away.
